Luchentos Ristorante

Got my parents a gift card for Christmas 2008. No one one told me they were closing for "rennovations". When they finally opened last week, my parents went for dinner. They were told that they would not honor the gift card. They were not even nice about it! The right thing to do would have been to offer to take 50% of the value of thr card, buy them a drink, and they would not have lost the 50+ families that go to Luchento's because of us!!! Bad move guys. I can't wait to see the "For Rent" sign on the front lawn!!!!

I agree with Kathy Lynn. My husband and I came to this restaurant as we had been for years, and the new owners and managers have no clue what they are doing. The hostesses were rude and dressed highly inappropriately! It's one thing to wait to be seated it's another to wait over an hour for your food! If the food was outrageously good then it would be worth the wait but it was not that unbelievably amazing. Our server was excellent and very sympathetic to our needs and aware we had been waiting a long time but we will not need to be back. If two people do not order appetizers and cannot get their entrees within 30-40 minutes you're setting yourself up for failure.

my family and i have been going to luchento's for YEARS especially for ever special family occasion! the best country italian restaurant in the area - it WAS great - great fresh food - yes the specials were very expensive but they were large and fabulous. my favorite meal was off the regular menu which WAS chicken murphy. well apparently sometime in 2008 new owners took over - what they SHOULD HAVE DONE was either change the name or KEEP THE ORIGINAL menu without making their changes. To me it was complete BS and false advertisement and I told them so. You can't take the rep of a solid reputable restaurant and delude the originals, the faithful! i will never walk in there again. the food was sub-par, no more GREAT salad, no more side dish of pasta, the Chicken Murphy is totally different and subpar and they took away the Chicken Gumbo soup as well as the entire Louisiana food as well. They are deceitful and cheats! Shame on them!

Lucento's was a terrific place to eat, until recently, when they came under new ownership. My family had eaten there for many years on and off but had not visited for a number of years. Recently, (this past weekend) my wife and I decided to visit.
Strike 1 The prices have been increased a great deal.
Strike 2: Francaise is horrible. They tried to please my wife twice to no avail and DID NOT OFFER HER ANYTHING DIFFERENT
Dessert was good (Tiramisu)
Strike 3: They billed us for my wife's meal that she refused to eat. We paid anyway and vowed never to return
Other notes: Waittresses loud and not 'graceful', gossiping at waitress station right behind out table about other customers, menza menza quality, prices way too high for the quality of the food, cajun & Creole menu gone, favorites gone.

From the ceramic chickens adorning every corner of this place to the friendly staff, this is a restaurant to remember. According to the wall hangings, Joe Pesci is fond of it too.

The best things to order: Lobster ravioli and flourless chocolate cake for dessert. DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT TASTING THE FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!!
