Named after the town in Spain, Castile is a community in Wyoming County in west central New York. Nearby are Castile Village Park and Letchworth State Park, where hikers can view the Genesee River roaring over three major waterfalls. Every September, neighboring Orchard Park hosts the Quaker Arts Festival. Two major companies in Castile are Stonewall Craftique and Richard Dawsons. Amongst the largest schools in the Castile area are Castile Christian Academy and Letchworth Senior High School. While in Castile, be sure to visit the Castile Cider Mill for fresh apple cider, honey and fall produce. One notable resident from the Castile area is John Craig Venter.
