About De Kalb Junction, NY
De Kalb Junction, NY is a small town in St. Lawrence County, NY about 25 miles south of the Canadian border and 9 miles southwest of Canton, NY. The town is named after American general Baron de Kalb, a German officer who served under George Washington. Prior to the end of World War II, the area was known for mining.
Antiqueing has been the paramount business in the area for many years. St. Lawrence University is nearby as is SUNY Canton. Two of the successful businesses in the area are [Treasured Antiques] (http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/Treasured.Antiques.De.Kalb.Junction.NY.315-347-1604) and Tims Electric & Lightning Protection.
This is a nice, quiet town. The best time to visit would be during the spring/summer/fall months but the winter months are nice too. The beautiful scenery of the landscape here during any season is beautiful.
