Duanesburg is a city Schenectady County, New York. The city was named after James Duane, who originally owned most of the land that Duanseburg is located on. There are two community parks in the city: VanPatten Mill Park and The Robert B. Shafer Memorial Park. Also located in the city is the Duanesburg Community Center which offers many programs such as youth sports leagues, aquatic programs, and a daycare center. Students here attend the Duanesburg Central School.
