Updates & tips

A busy year for 2011

This must be the year of weddings. I am so pleased I have this opportunity to share in the beginning of two people in love. This is not something I take lightly it is the essence of who I am. Not only is my book touching lives nationally and internationally beyond my expectations. I am continuing what my novel manifests in real life. "Living the dream" Say hello and lets see why we have met.. Everyone I feel meets for a reason.. Maybe ours is to be with you at your wedding, or maybe to share of life. I am also a Spiritual Counselor.. this position is one of assisting you in guidance in your spiritual direction. I have experienced and learned of many philosophical beliefs and experienced the awareness of other areas such as law of attraction to positive energy. I am of none and I am of all. I take from them what is good for my essence and let the rest be present for others without my judgment in their choices. Lets talk.. Diane

Three years already?

We've just celebrated our third anniversary (with a sale - hope you didn't miss it!), and it's time for reflection. At three years, this business is starting to feel... habitual. Less like a novelty, more like a fixture. We're starting to do things that we've done before, so that we're no longer figuring it all out for the first time (that's exciting, too, but getting into a groove is good). The economy, yes, it isn't in good shape right now, but books are something of lasting value - a cheap source of entertainment, recreation, enlightenment, or information. Something people do recognise the value of. Winter is the slow season for us and many other Perry businesses. Now that the anniversary is over, it's time for us to do inventory - eep. And Valentine's Day is coming soon. Maple sap will start running soon. Even though it's been one of the most cold and snowy winters in a while, the days are getting longer, and the couple days of thawing we just had gave just a *hint* of spring - even if they left lots of snow right where it was! We're doing weekly drink specials now, from the "Yes, Pecan!" for the Inauguration, a John Cleese special (nutty and fruity) to drinks honoring author Neil Gaiman (meeting his challenge) this week, just after the announcement that he won this year's Newbery Award for children's literature for _The Graveyard Book_. Warm up with one of those and we'll tel you all about this fabulous writer (ask Brandi!).
