Hello from Hogger's

Hi everyone, this is Lacy sending you a short update from Hogger's. Hope this blog finds that everyone is doing well? Buckling down for the long winter I assume? For all my snow birds enjoying that beautiful Florida sun....bottle up some of that and send it our way! Thank you all for such a wonderful summer season here at Hogger's. Lord knows without all of you, none of this would be possible. We are looking forward to opening back up in the Spring and seeing all the familiar faces and welcoming all the new ones. Be on the lookout for exciting new changes!! If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to email me at: bosshog3663@yahoo.com I would love to hear what you have to say. In the meantime I thought that I would leave you all with a silly story of my very first cooking experience....Hmm, let's see...I grew up in the restaurant. Learning to cook was not by choice then but I sucked it up and went with the flow. I thought I knew it all back then. Boy was I sadly mistaken!! I got married in the early nineties with absolutely nothing to offer other than my superb cooking skills and my enormous nineties hair, I had a lot to learn. I believe I was married for about a week when my husband was off to work for the day and I had just purchased my very first knock off Pyrex dishes. I ran home in a mad dash to cook my man the best dinner he had ever tasted. While the homemade sauce was cooking, I ran around the house like the cheese ball wife that I was, cleaning, lighting candles, and putting thirty pounds MORE hairspray in my already huge hair wall that I had going on. Moments before my husband was due home, my beautiful spaghetti dinner exploded on the stove top, right before my eyes. I must have cried for hours. I even had a noodle in my hair wall. The moral here is.....don't purchase knock off Pyrex dishes, EVER!! Know that there is always more to learn, you can't possibly know all there is to know, even when you think you are too cool to learn. LOL! Now that I have grown up, bought some big girl dishes, learned an awful lot about cooking, have an amazing family and a whole lot of life's lessons under my belt that I think they are finally worth sharing. I am off for now...stay warm and see you all soon!! ~Lacy
