About Tuckahoe, NY
Tuckahoe is a village in the town of Eastchester which is in Westchester County, New York and can be reached by the Metro North railroad, which is about 30 min from New York City's New York City Grand Central Station. As of the 2000 census, the village's population was 6,211. In 1818, white marble was found and the Marble Quarry opened and became a major producer of marble for the world. The Quarry is no longer open. In recent years there has been an influx of investor money to redevelop the commercial and industry areas. The 1970's sitcom was set in Tuckahoe.
