Hickman is an unincorporated area in northern Tennessee. It is part of Smith County and lies on U.S. Highway 264 south of the junction with Interstate 40. Hickman is approximately 36 miles east of Nashville, the nearest major city, and approximately 26 miles south of the Tennessee-Kentucky state line. One of the best places to visit when you are in Hickman is the Edgar Evins State Park, which is 10 miles south of Hickman. Local businesses include Bridge Water Construction Company and Peaceful Pastures. Smith County schools include Carthage Elementary School and Gordonsville High School.
