How to Have a Fondue Party
Hosting a fondue party is a relaxing way to spend some time with friends and family members. The host should send out party invitations that require a response from the guests. By knowing how many people are coming to the party, the host can prepare enough fondue for everyone to enjoy.
- Choose a time and date for your fondue party. Make a list of the people you want to invite. Send an invitation to each person and request an RSVP, so you know how many people will attend the party.
- Buy the supplies that you need for the fondue party. Food, beverages and some casual decorations are some of the things that you will need. Depending on the type of fondue you are serving you may also need to buy some cooking materials as well as a fondue set. If you are serving a cheese fondue, you may want to have a dessert item as well.
- Count the number of guests that respond to your invitation so you have enough seating available. Borrow some folding chairs from a neighbor if you need additional seating. Set out the chairs the night before the party, so you have one less thing to worry about.
- Start to prepare the fondue before the actual party begins. Scan through a recipe book or look online if you need help preparing the fondue. If you are serving drinks to the guests, make sure you have enough glasses. Place the fondue set in an area where it is easily accessible for the guests.
- Lay out some plates, silverware and napkins. Turn on some music to create a relaxing atmosphere for the fondue party. Keep an eye on the fondue to make sure that it is still warm as the guests begin to arrive to the party. Serve the fondue and clean up the next morning, so you can enjoy the party.
